C Specification
The
VkPhysicalDeviceBufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignmentPropertiesVALVE
structure is defined as:
// Provided by VK_VALVE_buffer_device_address_allocation_alignment
typedef struct VkPhysicalDeviceBufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignmentPropertiesVALVE {
VkStructureType sType;
void* pNext;
uint32_t maxBufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignment;
} VkPhysicalDeviceBufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignmentPropertiesVALVE;
Members
This structure describes the following features:
-
sTypeis a VkStructureType value identifying this structure. -
pNextisNULLor a pointer to a structure extending this structure. -
maxBufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignmentindicates the maximum alignment which can be requested when allocating buffer device addresses.
Description
If the implementation already requires device memory allocation alignments greater-or-equal to the minimum limit of 64 KiB, implementations should not advertise a larger limit than what the implementation already uses internally, effectively making this extension a no-op, while letting the application have some guarantees for returned device addresses.
If the VkPhysicalDeviceBufferDeviceAddressAllocationAlignmentPropertiesVALVE structure is included in the pNext chain of the
VkPhysicalDeviceProperties2 structure passed to
vkGetPhysicalDeviceProperties2, it is filled in with each
corresponding implementation-dependent property.
